How it Works
How the Elle TENs Machine Works:
The Elle TENS machine works by sending gentle electrical pulses through pads placed on your back. These pulses:
-
Block some of the pain signals travelling to the brain
-
Encourage your body to release natural endorphins (pain-relieving hormones)
-
Provide a distraction during contractions, helping you stay calm and focused
TENS is safe, drug-free, and can be used in both homebirth and hospital settings. It works best when started early in labour and adjusted as contractions become stronger.
