Terms Of Agreement

I, Sarah Del Borrello (Mother Mother Doula), will draw on my knowledge and experience to provide emotional support, physical comfort and information to help you make informed decisions during your pregnancy birth and postpartum (relevant to selected service). I will provide, education, reassurance, and unwavering support. I will support you in relaxation techniques, massage, positioning and other practices for your comfort. I will work collaboratively and respectfully with all other care providers, but I am independent and self-employed. Meaning I work for you, not your care provider or hospital.

I meet with all potential clients either face-to-face or via Zoom to become acquainted, to explore and discuss your priorities or concerns, and to plan how we can best work together. This initial meeting does not obligate you to use my services but, if you do proceed, we will need to meet again at least once before birth, as a formal prenatal visit, so that I become familiar with your birth plan and preferences and to provide you with information to prepare for birth and to ensure that we are able to work well together on the day.

My doula services include:

On call from 38 weeks
Back-up doula in case of a long labour over 15 hours (if required).
Immediate postpartum support 1-2 hours after birth (if required).
Minimum of one postpartum visit to debrief birth.
Phone and email support from booking
Comprehensive resource library
Referral to other support professionals and services as required.
Extra postpartum gifts to surprise you.

My promise to you as your doula:

You, your partner and your baby will be honoured, supported and encouraged during your pregnancy, birthing and postpartum journey.
You will always be treated with kindness, respect, care and consideration.
I will do everything in my power to ensure all your needs are met with a combination of expert knowledge, experience and an open mind.
I will provide you with evidence-based options and resources.
I will never judge nor criticise you.
I will respect and support all choices made by you.
I will respect and work with your health care team to ensure a positive, calm birth experience.
You are entitled to the very best care and support, so I will ensure that you receive that at all times.

Scope of Practice

It is important to understand that I do not perform any medical or clinical procedures, such as monitoring blood pressure or physical examinations including vaginal examinations, foetal movements, and heart monitoring.

I do not diagnose or give medical advice or prescribe medications.
I cannot make decisions for you; however, I can provide you with information and resources so that you can make an informed decision that feels right for you and your circumstances.
I will remind you of your birth plan if things start to deviate from that, or suggest other options to you, but you or your partner must speak to your medical team with your choices, decisions or concerns and I will advocate for your rights in doing so.
I will provide for your physical, mental, and emotional comfort and support.
I am completely non-judgemental and will work with you both to honour your birth preferences for a positive birth outcome.
I work for you, not your medical care providers or hospital.

Privacy Policy

I, Sarah Del Borrello (Mother Mother Doula), am committed to ensuring that your personal information is used properly and is kept securely.

In order to conduct business and provide services, I may hold personal information of individuals. This personal information will be used only for business purposes (to answer questions that you may have about our business, and to provide you with a service), unless you consent to its use for other purposes, or the law permits its use for other purposes.

Personal Information

As a business I may collect the following information about you, which includes:

Your name
Your date of birth
Images of you
Your contact details including email, mailing address and phone number
Your credit card details
Your demographic information
Your birth plan
Client questionnaires and surveys
Information through our internet cookies
Personal information that you provide to me either directly or indirectly when completing forms or payment of accounts
Any other personal information that is gained through our meetings, phone calls, emails and social media interactions.

The information that is collected from you will only be used by me, Sarah Del Borrello (Mother Mother Doula) for business purposes. I may hold, collect, and use your personal information to contact and communicate with you and for internal record keeping and administrative purposes. I may also use the information that you provide to me for market research, business development and to comply with legal obligations.

Disclosure of personal information to third parties

I will not disclose your personal information, data or images of you to a third party without written authorisation from you. I will not publish any images of you on my website or social media without written authorisation from you. You may request details of the personal information that I hold about you. If you feel that any information that I hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading, please contact me using the details below. I will take reasonable steps to correct any information found to be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or out of date.

Complaints

If you believe that I have breached the Australian Privacy Principles and wish to make a complaint, please contact me using the contact details below and provide me with your grievance. I give you a guarantee that this will be investigated and rectified, with a follow up notification in writing of what the outcome is.

Unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe from my database at any time by either contacting me directly or using the opt-out / unsubscribe function in the communication that has been received by you.

Storage and Security

I want to assure you that all your data is secure and I have processes in place to protect your data physically and electronically. I cannot guarantee the security of information that is transmitted to or by us over the internet.

Cookies and Web Beacons

I may use “cookies” or “web beacons” which are text files / codes that are placed in your computer’s browser to store your preferences when you visit my website. This does not tell me your personal details, however they do allow third parties, (such as Google and Facebook for example), to introduce our advertising to appear on your social media and also collect analytical data such as counting users to my website.

Links to other websites

My website may include links to external websites, it is important to be aware that I have no control over the Privacy Policy of those organisations.

Amendments

I may at my discretion make changes to this Privacy Policy and will publish the amended policy on our website. It is your responsibility to check my privacy policy regularly to be notified of any changes.
