Birth

The surges, the TENS machine, the hospital room, the birth pool, the clock on the wall, your partner holding your hand, your baby crowing, the look on your face when you realised you've done it, the umbilical cord, the placenta, the first breastfeed, that first family cuddle, and that magical first postpartum shower. Ill capture it all so you'll never forget how amazing you are.

Photography Investment Guide

My sessions aren't limited by time.

When you book with me you can relax knowing that you've got me for as long as we need to capture a beautiful gallery.

I'll give you a suggestion of how long I think we will need once you've shared your vision with me, but you can expect to hang out with me for about 1-2 hours.

If you've got a camera-shy toddler or a sleepy newborn, this sort of session is perfect!

My goal is to ensure you have an incredible experience and we create some beautiful art together.

Creative Session Fee

All photography bookings require a payment of my creative session fee of $150.

This locks in your date and covers the cost of your photoshoot.

Purchase Images

Once you've had the chance to view your proof gallery you can decide which ones you would like to purchase. I then carefully hand edit each and every image to perfection for you.

Birth Photography FAQ

don’t want lots of people at my birth, will a Photographer be too much?

As your birth photography I endeavour to be as unimposing as possible, a bit like a ‘fly on the wall’. My role is to capture your story as it unfolds, with minimal to no interference.

Can I have a Birth Photographer at the Hospital?

Birth photography is increasing in popularity and most hospitals are comfortable having a photographer in the room. Mutual admiration and respect means that your birthing team and photographer interact in a way that makes the most of your experience. It’s good practice to inform your care provider during your pregnancy, and to have your Photographer listed as a birth support person.

When should I book?

Generally you should get in touch as soon as you know you want a photographer. I only take 1-2 clients each month to ensure my availability so spaces are limited. Your booking is not confirmed until you have signed your contract and paid your deposit.

What if I go into labour in the middle of the night, on a weekend, or on a public holiday?

I will be there. No matter the day or time, once you have booked with me I have committed to being on call for you 24/7 in the weeks surrounding your estimated due date. Things like peak hour or holiday traffic may mean it takes me longer than expected to reach you, but I will get there no matter what!

What areas and hospitals do you services?

I accept homebirth clients between Mandurah and Perth, and service clients birthing in hospital at Armadale Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital, King Edward Memorial Hospital, Peel Health Campus, Rockingham General Hospital, St John of God Murdoch Hospital and Family Birth Centre at King Edward Memorial Hospital.
I can service hospital births outside of these, but may need to charge an additional travel fee.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yep! As long as full payment is made by 35 weeks you can pay in as many interest free instalments as you like. In special circumstances you can even continue to make payments after your baby is born. Although you wont receive your images until full payment is received.

When do you get to the birth and how long do you stay?

If you’re birthing in hospital I generally meet you there shortly after you arrive. If you’re having an induction you should phone me when it starts, and ask me to head in once you are in active labour. If you’re birthing at home I’ll arrive once you’re surges/contractions are well established and you’re in active labour. Its important I don’t arrive too early as this can cause disruption and slow or stall your labour, and may mean that by the time you are birthing I am not working at my best. I will generally stay for 1-2 hours after your birth to capture your magical golden hour. If you'd like newborn or family photos another day, these can be accessed at 10% off.

How much is the deposit?

To confirm your booking I require a signed contract and a 20% non-refundable deposit.

General Photography FAQ

Is travel included in your photography packages or covered additionally?

Travel is included for shoots between the Mandurah and Perth areas. Clients wanting a shoot location further away may incur a travel fee which will be discussed upon booking.

What should I wear?

Neutrals are my top pick! They photograph nicely and give a cohesive look throughout your gallery, especially for shoots with multiple people. For maternity sessions, flowy dresses, unbuttoned jeans or swimwear/underwear are great too!

What if my kids don't cooperate on the day?

Don't worry, I've got little ones too and I understand that some days are just challenging. I'll embrace the chaos and capture your kids on the move as they play around us, and I can easily work around little ones that need to be settled, fed or are sleeping.

I want a beautiful location for my shoot. Can you help me pick a location?

Of course, just tell me the vibe you are hoping for, or send through some inspo picks and I'll be able to find a suitable location. I know some great beaches, bushland and open field locations we can access.

Do you photograph special occasions?

While I am not an event photographer, I am happy to discuss this with you.
If you've got a special occasion you'd like captured, such as an engagement, anniversary, birthday, Mother's/Father's Day I'd love to be involved. You can book these through my booking site.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! You can pay in 4 instalments. You'll just need to request this when making your booking so I can adjust your invoice accordingly.

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept debit/credit card, PayPal and bank transfer payments securely online.

What is your cancellation policy?

Creative session fee ($150) must be paid in full 7 days prior to shoot date.
If less then 24 hours notice of cancelation no refund will be given.
More than 24 hours notice of cancelation will be eligible for a 75% refund or rescheduled shoot.

In difficult circumstances please get in touch to discuss your options

Can I reschedule?

Of course! Outdoor shoots are weather dependent, a little rain won't hurt, but no one is going to have fun in a storm. If the weathers looking less than friendly, I'll contact you to reschedule.
If you are injured or unwell, please get in touch ASAP to discuss your options.
